Welcome to Scott’s Pride Farm. I’m Scott – a part-time farmer and full-time middle school science teacher. I take a lot of pride in what I grow – primarily blackberries and figs.
Scott’s Pride Farm is located in beautiful Sunol, CA. The farm is right next door to the Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park.
I love growing in the soil, but I also grow using Aquaponics in my on-farm nursery and at home. Aquaponics is a method of combining aquaculture and hydroponics, making use of fish waste products as plant food. You can find a lot about aquaponic water testing on this blog.
In August of 2014, I presented at the AquaponicsFest in Longmont, Colorado. My presentation, “Water Testing: Beyond the API master kit” is made available online, in an expanded and enhanced format. Aquaponic Water Testing is here.
Scott, congrats on speaking gig in Colorado!
How did it go?
Great to see you at the SF Indoor garden show.
Hope to connect with you again this or next week.
Thanks,
Michael
Hi Scott,
I am a hydroponics consultant in the Midwest. I am also a former grower and researcher. I currently work for a wholesale company in St. Louis.
I think your site looks great. I have been building contacts in the hydroponic/aquaponic community. I wanted to reach out to you in the hopes that we can share information and help each other out.
I am also very interested in community gardens and growing and urban agriculture.
Thank you
Hi Aaron. Thanks for dropping by. I’m always interested in new contacts and resources. Send me an email scott@scottspridefarm.com
